Solana's Price Action Remains Subdued Amid Strong Institutional Inflows
Solana's price dynamics have been characterized by sustained pressure from sellers, with the cryptocurrency trading below its key moving averages.
Despite this, strong institutional inflows and resilient on-chain activity have broadened market access and liquidity for Solana. The total assets under management for spot Solana ETFs in the United States surpassed $1 billion on May 18, 2026, reflecting robust institutional capital inflows.
However, the presence of Goldman Sachs' liquidation of its Solana ETF holdings in Q1 and the cryptocurrency's trading below key moving averages suggests that sellers are still dominating the market. The Ichimoku Kijun (D1) at $89.91 serves as immediate overhead resistance for Solana.
Over the next five trading days, price action is expected to remain within a moderately narrow range of $83.75 to $87.10, reflecting current sideways consolidation and low upside odds. A sustained break above immediate resistance at $89.91 would be required for a bullish scenario, potentially enabling further gains.
