Paradigm Pours $1.2 Billion into AI and Robotics Fund Amid Crypto Commitment
Paradigm, one of crypto's most powerful venture firms, has launched a $1.2 billion AI and robotics venture fund. This marks a significant strategic shift for the firm, but Paradigm's leadership is quick to emphasize that this doesn't mean they're abandoning digital assets.
The new fund has already invested in notable companies such as Zipline International, an autonomous drone delivery company valued at $7.6 billion in January 2026, and True Anomaly, a space defense startup valued at $2.2 billion in April 2026.
Paradigm's co-founder Matt Huang has stated that AI and crypto are not a zero-sum game, but rather complementary technologies that will increasingly intersect.
This expansion is consistent with Paradigm's self-described research-driven investment strategy, which prioritizes backing technology it believes is structurally important over trend-chasing. The firm sees the convergence of crypto and AI as the long-term story, and this new fund represents a serious strategic commitment to emerging technologies.
