Tokenized Real-World Assets Buck Market Trend, Attracting Institutional Demand
The tokenized real-world assets (RWAs) sector has been a standout performer in recent months, despite the wider crypto market experiencing a correction trend.
The sector, which involves creating digital representations of tangible and non-tangible assets on the blockchain, has attracted significant institutional demand for its yield-bearing and collateral-backed digital assets. This growth is particularly notable given the decline in cryptocurrency prices over the past six months.
Ethereum remains at the core of the transformation, handling the highest number of settlements in the sector, which currently holds $30.92 billion in distributed value, supported by $437.19 billion in represented underlying assets and held by an approximate 740,667 addresses.
