Binance Unveils Tokenized Securities: A New Path for Investors
Binance has published a blog explaining how its tokenized securities, bStocks, differ from traditional stock ownership. The blog outlines the benefits of bStocks and why they are not in competition with traditional stocks.
bStocks are BEP-20 tokens on BNB Smart Chain that give users 1:1 economic exposure to a selected U.S.-listed share. Unlike traditional brokerage-held shares, bStocks can be withdrawn to a compatible wallet and traded 24/7. Dividends are automatically reinvested through a token rebasing mechanism.
The blog notes that while traditional stocks give investors beneficial ownership of a company, voting rights, and direct cash dividend payouts, bStocks are built for investors who want self-custody, round-the-clock market access, and blockchain-native utility. The two models have a clear place in the market and will coexist for different users and use cases.
