Macro Guru Luke Gromen Sells Most of His Bitcoin Due to Unusual Market Behavior
Macro analyst Luke Gromen has sparked attention among cryptocurrency investors with his recent decision to sell most of his bitcoin holdings. According to Gromen, the reasons behind his move were largely driven by concerns over the digital currency's performance in various market conditions.
Gromen pointed out that bitcoin has not been reacting as he had expected to changes in the money supply, specifically M2 money supply trends. He also noted that its price has remained relatively stable against gold over a five-year period, which is unusual given the typical inverse relationship between the two assets.
In addition to these concerns, Gromen highlighted stress in the bond market and the impact of emerging-market behavior on global financial conditions. He emphasized the need for 'nuclear printing' – a term he used to describe extremely loose monetary policy – to boost risk assets like bitcoin.
