Hawkins County's Crypto Resolution Fails Amid Legal Concerns
Hawkins County's attempt to settle its differences with crypto company ExoticRidge has ended in failure, leaving the county potentially vulnerable to costly litigation.
The resolution, which aimed to allow ExoticRidge to begin construction and operate in Bulls Gap, was put forth by Commissioner Larry Clonce but ultimately fell short due to a lack of second. This means that the settlement with ExoticRidge, which included enforceable noise limitations, was rejected.
