Texas Brothers Plead Guilty to Kidnapping Family for $8 Million Crypto Heist

Two Texas brothers, Isiah Angelo Garcia and Raymond Christian Garcia, pleaded guilty to kidnapping a Minnesota family at gunpoint. The incident occurred on September 19, 2025, when the brothers broke into a home in Grant, Minnesota, tying up the family for over eight hours. They used a gun to threaten them and forced the father to transfer $8 million from his cryptocurrency account.

The victims' son called the police after their ordeal, leading to the brothers' escape in the Houston area. However, they were later arrested. In a Minneapolis federal court, the brothers pleaded guilty to 'interference with commerce by means of robbery.' They face up to 20 years in prison each and have agreed to compensate over $8 million.
