Habitual Offender Nabbed for Rs 6.90 Crore Cryptocurrency Scam in Ambala

A Hisar resident has been arrested by the Ambala police for allegedly duping an Ambala City resident of Rs 6.90 crore through a cryptocurrency scam.

The accused, Mahesh Kumar, promised his victim exorbitant returns on investment in cryptocurrency, including six-fold returns and an additional 2% interest.

Narender Kumar, the complainant from Ambala City, approached the police in March this year, alleging that he had been cheated by Mahesh Kumar and his associates into investing Rs 6.90 crore between August 2022 and March 2026.

To arrange the funds, Narender Kumar had exhausted his savings, borrowed money from relatives, and even sold his household gold.
