Tether Supports Drift Protocol's Recovery Efforts After Major Exploit

Tether has intervened in the crypto market by supporting Drift Protocol's recovery efforts after a significant security breach. The hack, which occurred earlier this month, resulted in losses of nearly $285 million and halted operations for the DeFi platform.

The stablecoin issuer has committed to providing up to $150 million in support, with up to $127.5 million dedicated to reimbursements tied to trading activity. This performance-based structure is designed to associate recovery progress with platform usage, restoring balances gradually as liquidity and volumes resume.
