Ripple's EU License Win Falls Flat for XRP Amid Steep On-Chain Decline
Ripple secured a significant regulatory win in Europe when it obtained a full CASP license in Luxembourg on July 6, granting the company permission to offer regulated crypto services across 30 European nations under the MiCA framework.
This milestone follows a preliminary approval in June and positions Ripple to market its enterprise solutions, built around XRP and the RLUSD stablecoin, to financial institutions across the European Economic Area.
However, despite this regulatory breakthrough, XRP has continued to struggle, trading at $1.09 near its 52-week low of $1.01. The token has shed more than 42% since the start of 2026 and over 60% over the past twelve months.
