Crypto Adoption Skyrockets in US as Over 67 Million Americans Now Hold Cryptocurrency
The National Cryptocurrency Association (NCA) has released its second annual State of Crypto Holders Report, showcasing continued growth in cryptocurrency adoption across the United States.
According to the study, which surveyed 10,000 U.S. cryptocurrency holders, over 67 million Americans now own cryptocurrency, representing a 12% increase from last year's numbers. This growth is evident across various demographics, including women, who comprise 42% of new crypto holders compared to 34% in previous years.
The report highlights the increasing practical use cases for cryptocurrency beyond investment purposes. Nearly two-thirds (63%) of respondents reported greater interest in using crypto this year compared to last, with many citing improved accessibility, privacy, and financial control as reasons for their trust in the technology.
As confidence in cryptocurrency grows, so does its integration into everyday life. The study found that 75% of holders view crypto as proven and reliable, while over two-thirds (69%) see it as established and mature. Looking ahead, a staggering 90% plan to buy more crypto within the next year.
The NCA continues to provide educational resources and partnerships aimed at closing the knowledge gap and empowering communities nationwide. With millions embracing cryptocurrency for the first time, the organization remains committed to guiding users safely and responsibly through the process.
