Grayscale Ethereum ETF Introduces Staking Yield, Potentially Boosting Price
The Grayscale Ethereum ETF has introduced staking yield within its regulated structure, which may have a significant impact on the cryptocurrency market.
Staking is a process where investors 'lock' their assets in a smart contract to validate transactions and participate in network governance. In return, they receive a portion of the block rewards. This feature was first introduced by Grayscale in October 2025 for its Ethereum Trust (ETHE) product.
The introduction of staking yield within a regulated wrapper is expected to create a demand floor for institutional investors who previously avoided ETH due to zero-yield exposure. This development could potentially lead to a price increase of up to $5,700 by late 2026.
