Tehran Train Services Halted Amid Israeli Warning: Iran Crypto Exchanges Targeted by US Sanctions
The Iranian government suspended train services on its busy Tehran-Mashhad rail line on April 7, citing warnings from Israeli military officials that civilians should avoid railway infrastructure due to potential strikes. The suspension affected the heavily trafficked route and remained in place 'until further notice.'
The Israeli advisories, posted on X, urged people to steer clear of rail lines and train travel until at least 17:30 GMT that day. Services on the Khuzestan line were also halted.
Reports indicate that some damage to rail lines did occur, but quick repairs enabled a partial resumption of train services within days.
