TON Blockchain Upgrade Aims to Achieve Sub-Second Block Finality
The development of blockchain technology continues to advance at a rapid pace, with various platforms striving to improve their efficiency and performance. One notable example is the TON blockchain, which has recently begun rolling out an upgrade aimed at achieving sub-second block finality.
A high-speed consensus mechanism is set to be fully activated on the mainnet on April 7, local time. This upgrade is focused on improving on-chain response speeds, which will enable faster and more efficient transactions. The implementation of this new consensus mechanism is expected to have a significant impact on the overall performance of the TON blockchain.
As part of its ongoing development efforts, the TON team is also strengthening support for diverse asset usage. This includes integration with popular stablecoin Tether USDT and the introduction of a gold stablecoin. Additionally, cooperation with LayerZero will further enhance the platform's capabilities.
