Solana Users Warned of Fake Jupiter Airdrop Scam
A phishing campaign has been identified by analysts at Solana Floor, targeting Solana users with a fake Jupiter Exchange airdrop. The scammers are distributing tokens labeled '$CJUP' to wallets, attempting to lure victims into connecting their wallets to a malicious site that functions as a wallet drainer.
The legitimate Jupuary airdrop program distributes tokens labeled '$JUP', not '$CJUP'. This discrepancy is a major red flag for potential victims. According to Kaspersky, crypto drainers are designed to quickly empty cryptocurrency wallets by siphoning off valuable assets.
Jupiter has an official airdrop checker on their website, where community members can verify if they are eligible for upcoming reward distributions. However, the scammers are exploiting ongoing uncertainty around JUP's airdrop schedule, as Jupiter DAO opened a governance vote in February 2026 to cancel future Jupuary events.
