XRP Ledger Upgrade Activates May 27, 2026: Node Operators Must Act Now

The XRP Ledger is set to receive an important upgrade to its functionality, fix several bugs, and improve overall network performance. The fixCleanup3_1_3 amendment has been released and will activate on May 27, 2026, giving node operators a short window of time to upgrade their nodes.

The update is primarily focused on reducing the data burden on nodes by automatically deleting expired NFTokenOffer entries. This feature was previously causing issues with network performance due to the accumulation of expired listings.

Alongside this key feature, the amendment also addresses several other important issues. These include fixes for Permissioned Domains, trust line limitations related to vault withdrawals, and patches to accounting and loan process integrity within the lending protocol.
