Cardano Set to Activate Van Rossem Upgrade on July 19

The Cardano network is set to activate its Van Rossem Upgrade on July 19. This upgrade will enhance the network's performance, strengthen infrastructure, and support Cardano's long-term scalability roadmap.

The Van Rossem Upgrade introduces Protocol Version 11, bringing cleaner ledger rules, Plutus smart contract improvements, new cryptographic features, and performance enhancements.

This is the first hard fork in Cardano's history to be fully ratified through the platform's decentralized Voltaire governance framework. Over 77 percent of people who govern Cardano agree with it, and 93 percent of nodes are ready for the upgrade.
