Genlayer Leads Push for Interoperable Payments and Dispute Resolution Between AI Agents

A consortium of 27 companies from the crypto and Web3 ecosystem has launched the 'Internet Court' protocol to resolve contractual disputes between artificial intelligence agents. The initiative, led by the Genlayer Foundation, aims to fill a critical gap in the agentic economy: the absence of infrastructure to arbitrate conflicts that occur at machine speed.

The Internet Court protocol is designed to provide interoperable payments, escrow, and arbitration between autonomous agents. This system addresses the absence of mechanisms to resolve contractual disputes between agents operating at machine speed.

David Riudor, CEO and co-founder of the GenLayer Foundation, described the situation in direct terms: 'Internet Court is the shared place agents can turn to when an agreement fails. Money at machine speed needs adjudication at machine speed.'
