Paraguay Cracks Down on Crypto Transactions, Argentina Blocks Peso Stablecoin

Regulatory bodies in Paraguay have introduced stringent reporting requirements for Virtual Asset Service Providers (VASPs) and individuals involved in cryptocurrency transactions.

The new rules mandate that VASPs report all domestic and international transactions, as well as the identities of their customers. This increased transparency is aimed at preventing illicit activities such as money laundering and tax evasion.

Simultaneously, Argentina has blocked operations for a peso stablecoin, effectively restricting its use within the country's borders.
