Coinbase Unveils Comprehensive Platform Update Integrating Stocks and Crypto

Coinbase has unveiled an extensive platform update that introduces stock trading and other traditional financial instruments alongside its existing crypto services. The move aims to provide a single point of access for both retail users, businesses, and developers to engage with various financial markets.

The updated Coinbase app will now feature prediction markets, options, perpetual futures, Solana asset access, and primary token sales. A global on-chain Base App with social and trading features is also being introduced.

The update includes expanded services for U.S. and Singapore businesses through Coinbase Business, as well as the launch of an AI-powered financial advisor called Coinbase Advisor in beta. Agent-based access for executing transactions and enhancements to the developer platform are among the additional features outlined.
