Soluna Partners with Metrobloks to Develop 350 MW AI Data Center Campus

Soluna Holdings has formalized a joint venture with Metrobloks to develop a 350 MW AI data center campus in Texas. The partnership marks a significant expansion of Soluna's operations beyond bitcoin mining and hosting.

The project, dubbed Kati 2, will be developed in two phases, with the first phase adding 100 MW of critical IT capacity and the second phase increasing capacity to 250 MW, for a total of 350 MW. The campus is expected to serve as an AI and high-performance computing infrastructure hub.

Soluna has contributed $3.5 million in funding and a purchase agreement for the Phase II property, while Metrobloks will hold Class B interests in the joint venture. Under the terms of the partnership, Soluna will manage the project and serve as manager of the LLC, with Metrobloks participating in distributions equally after Soluna's preferred return and development-cost recovery.
