Galaxy Digital Lowers Odds of Crypto Market Bill Becoming Law in 2026

Galaxy Digital has made a significant adjustment to its forecast for the passage of the CLARITY Act in 2026, citing concerns about the likelihood of key issues being addressed.

The cryptocurrency firm, which has been tracking the bill's progress, has reduced its prediction from 75% to 60%. This revision comes as lawmakers face a tight deadline to pass the measure before the year ends.

According to Alex Thorn, head of research at Galaxy Digital, the window for passing the bill effectively closes after August, when politicians often prioritize campaigning over legislative work. Thorn notes that there is no evidence of progress on key issues such as ethics and illegal financing, which are still unresolved.
