Cardano, one of the largest and most influential blockchain projects, is facing scrutiny over its financial history. An investigation led by Thomas Braziel, an investor and expert in crypto claims, is examining historical documents related to Cardano's original entities on the Isle of Man and in Switzerland.
The inquiry centers around the allocation of over 1,000 Bitcoin, which were allegedly allocated to one of Cardano's original entities. According to publicly available records, Cardano collected a total of 108,844.5 BTC through various voucher sales between 2015 and 2017. The funds were distributed among several entities involved in the project's development.
Braziel's research has expanded beyond the single wallet at the center of the investigation, delving into Cardano's broader organizational structure and governance. He has highlighted over 20 registered companies in Wyoming, including investment firms, family offices, and initiatives outside the crypto sector. Braziel has emphasized that his work is not an accusation of wrongdoing but rather a quest for transparency.
