Coinbase Integrates Chainlink's DataLink Service to Enhance DeFi Capabilities
Coinbase has announced its integration with Chainlink's DataLink service, a move that aims to improve pricing accuracy, transparency, and risk management in decentralized finance markets. The integration will enable access to institutional-grade exchange data on-chain, which is expected to benefit traders and investors.
The move comes after Coinbase launched perpetual futures trading for non-U.S. users last week. This allows leveraged trading on stocks like Apple and Nvidia, as well as ETFs such as SPY and QQQ. The integration with Chainlink's DataLink service is the second move by Coinbase to deepen its presence in decentralized finance (DeFi) in less than a week.
Chainlink's DataLink service will make high-quality trading data from Coinbase available on-chain, allowing for better decision-making and risk management. This move is expected to have a positive impact on Coinbase's stock price, which rose nearly 4% in morning trade after the announcement.
