Nasdaq Secures SEC Approval for Bitcoin Index Options
The US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has taken another step towards mainstream adoption of cryptocurrencies by approving Nasdaq to list cash-settled Bitcoin index options on the Philadelphia Stock Exchange.
These new options will be linked to the Nasdaq Bitcoin Index, which tracks one percent of the CME CF Bitcoin Reference Rate. The reference price is updated every 200 milliseconds, providing a precise and timely benchmark for investors.
