Nigel Farage, leader of the Reform UK party, is under scrutiny after making claims about Russian hacking following the disclosure of a £5 million gift he received from a crypto billionaire.
According to his party, cyber-intelligence experts discovered that Farage's personal accounts were compromised via Moscow-linked spear phishing tactics before the financial records became public last month.
However, political opponents are criticizing Farage for attempting to deflect attention from legitimate scrutiny of his financial affairs. The Conservative Party Chairman Kevin Hollinrake called it an 'attempt to deflect' and demanded that any verified digital forensics be shared with national intelligence agencies immediately.
