Humanity Protocol Hit by Multi-Million Dollar Exploit

The Humanity Protocol, a zkEVM-based identity blockchain, has been hit by a significant security breach. On June 8, founder and CEO Terence Kwok confirmed that the project had suffered a private key compromise, allowing attackers to drain over $30 million worth of H tokens.

The attack led to an 85% crash in the token's price, with H currently trading at $0.12. The project's value is now estimated at $122 million, according to market cap estimates.

The breach has highlighted ongoing security concerns over private key management practices within crypto projects. Private key compromises have become a common attack vector across the industry, with $13.7 million stolen in May 2026 due to this type of exploit.
