South Korean Petition Against Cryptocurrency Taxes Gains Momentum
A nationwide petition to cancel cryptocurrency taxation in South Korea has made its way onto the National Assembly's discussion agenda.
The petition, which was posted on the electronic petition platform of the National Assembly, gathered over 50,000 signatures in just eight days, meeting the threshold for submission to a standing committee for review.
The petition will be transferred to the Strategy and Finance Committee, responsible for overseeing the Ministry of Economy and Finance and the National Tax Service, for further examination. If approved, it will then be decided whether to submit it to a plenary session for consideration.
