Russia Requires Miners to Report Network Address Data Under New Regulations

The Russian Ministry of Finance has introduced new regulations requiring miners to report more detailed information to the tax authorities.

Under the updated rules, ASIC mining machines must provide network address data for registration in the national miner registry.

This move is intended to enhance the supervision of digital asset transactions and facilitate investigations into potential violations.

The Federal Tax Service will maintain the registry, which will also contain information on the type and amount of cryptocurrency mined, as well as power consumption and computing capacity.
