Ripple's AI-Powered XRP Ledger Security Upgrade Achieves Rare Consensus

Ripple has made significant strides in securing the XRP Ledger with the help of artificial intelligence (AI). As part of this effort, a recent amendment achieved a rare 100% consensus among validators.

The 'fixCleanup3_1_3' amendment is a collection of bug fixes and improvements for NFTs, Permissioned Domains, Vaults, and the Lending Protocol. Unlike most amendments, which require manual voting, this one was approved by default as it did not introduce any new features that needed to be voted on.

According to XRPScan data, the amendment has entered a 2-week activation period with an expected timeline of May 27, 2026. This change is seen as a significant improvement in making the system more predictable and resilient, addressing structural issues such as limited type safety and inconsistent interaction patterns between features.
