Sui Introduces Confidential Transfers to Enhance DeFi User Privacy

Sui, a Layer-1 network, has made significant progress in addressing the transparency issue on public blockchains by introducing confidential transfers. The feature is designed to balance user privacy with regulatory requirements.

The confidential transfers capability is currently available in beta on Sui's Devnet environment. This allows token issuers, payment providers, and treasury teams to keep transfer amounts and balances private while ensuring compliance and auditability.

Notably, the sender address, receiver address, and token type remain visible on the ledger. However, the sender has full control over selective data disclosure for regulatory purposes.
