Chain Foundations Drive Web3 Ecosystem Development with Innovative Programs
The BeInCrypto Institutional Research has released a list of 10 chain foundation programs that are driving the development of the Web3 ecosystem. These programs are part of the 'Best Web3 Ecosystem Development Program' category, which evaluates specific named programs run by chain foundations to grow Web3 ecosystems.
The programs listed include Aptos's $50M Markets and Machines Commitment, Arbitrum's Trailblazer AI Grant Program + Trailblazer 2.0, and Avalanche's Retro9000 Retroactive Grants Program, among others. These programs utilize various approaches, such as strategic capital commitments, AI-focused grant programs, retroactive funding, RFP models, enterprise-backed foundation grants, incubators, hackathon-to-accelerator pipelines, gas-rebate mechanisms, and vertical-specific ecosystem funds.
The BeInCrypto Institutional 100 methodology uses a combination of quantitative metrics (30%), Expert Council scoring (50%), and disclosed company data (20%) to assess these programs. The six criteria evaluated include capital deployed through the program, portfolio impact of graduates, institutional focus, program quality and structure, ecosystem growth attributable to the program, and transparency.
